Perfect Weather, Great Results!
Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday, August 11 2012 for the 23rd annual Lodi Library Run & Walk.
We got great weather: no rain, and much much cooler temperatures. We all had fun, and the kids were especially delighted with the medals they received for participating in the 1-mile run.

Perhaps the day's biggest winner was Hannah B, who raised more than $700 in pledges for her run. As the top pledge-earner in 2012 she won an Apple iPad! Here's library co-director Kristine Millard with the excited prize winner.

Over the years, the funds raised by the run walk have helped pay off the building and purchased lots of great materials and equipment to help the library stay up-to-date on technology. The 2012 event alone donated more than $4,000 to the library!

Pledges aren't required to participate in the run & walk, only encouraged.
Route Maps:
As a visual aid, we've mapped out the routes on Googlemaps:
- The BLUE line is the 5k run or walk (which is a circular route)
- The RED line is the 1-mile walk or kids run (which goes out-and-back)
Event Awards:
In the 5K run:
- A $100 gift certificate to Movin' Shoes for each the overall top male and female runners
- Plaques to first and second place finishers, male and female, in each age division
All kids 14 and under who participate in the 1-mile run will receive a ribbon.
Door prizes are drawn after the race from all paid entrants.
Pledge Awards:
Go the extra mile as a runner or walker and gather pledge money for your efforts. Based on final dollar amount pledged, these prizes were awarded in 2012:

- $200 gift certificate to Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort
- Basketball autographed by Badger coach Bo Ryan (donated by Marty Wimmer)
