book discussion: Another Country

When:
Monday, June 4, 2018 (All day)

Our next book discussion title will be Another Country by James Baldwin. The library will host discussions on this title on Monday, June 4 - join us at NOON or 7 pm.

Stunning for its emotional intensity and haunting sensuality, this is a novel of passions: sexual, racial, political, and artistic. Baldwin depicts men and women, blacks and whites, stripped of their masks and at their most elemental and sublime. Another Country tells the stories of artists, mainly in New York, struggling to love and be loved amid the complexities of racism, sexism, and homophobia.

We brought in books for IMMEDIATE CHECKOUT - stop in to check one out and take it home today!

We're selecting discussion books from the PBS series The Great American Read. See the list of 100 titles in The Great American Read.
