Meet the Tiny Travel Bears
LODI BEAR
I have lived in Lodi all my life, so I like
to pretend and travel to new places.
I’ve been waiting all year to go on another real trip. I hope we have lots of fun.
SMOKEY the BEAR
You guessed it. I’m the most famous bear in this bunch. I want to take a
trip with you. I’ll make sure you
are extra careful about preventing forest fires. Let’s go camping and share a book and some s’mores.
BATON ROUGE BEAR
I’m from a family of Cajun bears. I like the spice of life and hope our
trip has lots of pep to it. So
come on and follow the mighty Mississippi down to my home in the bayou.
AMARILLO BEAR
I know all about life in the Wild
West. I like to read stories about
cowboys. What kind of books will
you read to me?
INDIANAPOLIS BEAR
Call me Indy for short. I like soccer, and I love race
cars. Let’s zip away on a
fantastic trip.
TACOMA BEAR
The forests of Mt. Rainier used to be my
home. I discovered lots of trails
there. Now I’ve moved to the
library to snuggle up with good books whenever I’m not on a trip.
JUNEAU BEAR
Wisconsin is sure hot for a bear from the
“Land of the Midnight Sun”. Can
you find a book that tells us why that is Alaska’s nickname?
