A day at the Market - and a volunteer fair!

When:

next to Koltes Do-It Center on N Main St.

Join the librarians for an afternoon at the Lodi Valley Farmers Market! We'll be at the market all afternoon, from 2 pm to 6 pm Friday, June 9 in the village green next to Koltes Do-It Center.

The library will be taking registrations for the summer library program, and there’s always fresh, local produce and crafts!

Wednesday Wonders - Build it!

When: 
Wednesday, June 14, 2017 - 3:00pm
Where: 
library program room

We've got an afternoon of building planned for kids starting at 3 pm Wednesday, June 14 at the library.

There will be a variety of construction materials - what can you create? Cool sculptures, or maybe even a fort. 

Worm races!

When: 
Saturday, June 17, 2017 - 9:30am
Where: 
Lodi Public Library

We’ve been doing this event forever because it’s just sooo much fun!

Join us at 9:30 am Saturday, June 17 for the13th annual Great Wiggly Worm Race. This event is held at the library's Talla-dirt-ga Super Slimeway, rain or shine!

Train your own worm or use one of our ultra-athletic rescue worms. That's right, rescue worms! Every athlete in the race has been saved from a fate as bait. Kids work in teams to coach their professional worm athletes on to greatness. It's hilarious for spectators, and extemely exciting for the race coaches.

STUNTOLOGY with Sam Bartlett

When: 
Thursday, June 22, 2017 - 2:00pm
Where: 
Lodi Primary School gymnasium

This is a program you WILL NOT want to miss - you'll amaze your friends and totally annoy your family with stunts, tricks, and pranks from master stuntologist Sam Bartlett!

This ALL AGES program begins at 2 pm Thursday, June 22 at Lodi Primary School in the gymnasium. 

Touch-a-Truck event

When: 
Wednesday, July 5, 2017 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Where: 
Lodi Elementary School parking lot

There's nothing cooler to little kids than big equipment - so we're hosting a "touch-a-truck" event from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday, July 5 in the parking lot at Lodi Elementary School.  

See a variety of trucks and talk with the people who use them every day. Which will be your favorite: an emergency vehicle, construction truck or something else?

And then, plan to stop in after the Touch-a-Truck event for a special activity sheet.

Stuffed animal sleep-over

When: 
Friday, July 14, 2017 (All day) to Saturday, July 15, 2017 (All day)
Where: 
Lodi Public Library

Kids: choose one of your stuffed animals to spend an overnight at the library!

You'll drop off your beloved pals on Friday, July 14 at 4 pm, and they'll get to spend the night at the library on a camp out just for stuffy friends! Join a librarian for a quick story to settle the animals in for a night of fun. 

We promise your pal will return full of stories about their overnight adventure - when you pick them up at 9:30 am Saturday, July 15 they'll show you a short video of the adventures your stuffed friends had without you. 

Silent reading event

All ages welcome to participate!

We're hosting a silent read-a-thon at 3 pm Wednesday, July 19 in the library program room. Bring along a book (or check out a new one) and read silently for a half-hour to earn a prize - a book you can keep! 

Helping pets program

Find out how Lodi's veterinarians are working to help animals in a special program at 2 pm Wednesday, June 21 at the library.

Dr. Shawn Bogdanske from the Lodi Veterinary Clinic will be here to talk about the Second Chance Fund and how you can Build a Better World for animals in our community. The last time she came, she even brought a couple furry friends.

All about LEGOs

When: 
Wednesday, June 28, 2017 - 3:00pm
Where: 
library program room

It's double the fun starting at 3 pm Wednesday, June 28 for a kids program of LEGOs and more LEGOs.

We'll do some free-form building while we watch The Lego Movie. There's just so much inspiration in every brick!
