Starting on Monday, November 16, we will return to Curbside Pickup Only.
What does that mean?
The doors to the library will be closed to the public (except for technology use reservations, see below for details). Our staff will be in the building during all library hours, so you can call and ask questions, request materials, get help you with your account, and more. Our hours will remain the same, which means you can pick up materials during these times:
Monday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Our Curbside Pickup Process
Our process is the same as when we shut down in March, but here is a basic summary of how it works. 1) Call us when you're in the parking lot (or about to leave your residence) and we'll bring your materials out to you. 2) Make sure your trunk is open and we'll set your materials inside your vehicle. 3) If you have any returns for us, make those available in your trunk and we'll take them in.
If you're not sure what you want, you can have us search for something specifically (e.g. The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson, the latest issue of Magnolia Journal, etc.) or browse for materials you're interested in (e.g. picture books, DVDs, large print fiction, etc.).

The Book Drop
If you prefer to return materials inside the building, the 24-hour book drop just inside the main entrance will remain open to the public.
Need to use a computer or other piece of technology?
If you need to use a computer or if you need to print something or if you need to use our copy machine/fax, we are making those services available by reservation.
We are offering 30 minute time slots between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Call us and set up a time: 608-592-4130. If you need more than 30 minutes on the computer, we are allowing two back-to-back time slots for computer usage (i.e. one hour maximum per person). We are only allowing one person in the building at a time for these services.
There is also the option to send something to us to print and we'll deliver it to you through Curbside Pickup. Simply email what you want printed to firstname.lastname@example.org and call us to let us know to look for your document(s).
Why have we made this decision?
COVID-19 is surging in the state of Wisconsin and in the country. Right now we believe this is the safest way for us to continue serving the community. As with all the changes we've made, we'll evaluate how things are going, listen to community feedback, and keep an eye on health trends.
