Hola! Здравствуйте! Bon jour! Guten Tag! Dzień dobry! nǐ hǎo (你好)! Bozhoo!

Those are ways to say "hello" in Spanish, Russian, French, German, Polish, Chinese and Ojibwe. You can learn all of these and more with our new database, Transparent Language.

Have you ever wanted to learn a new language? Would you like to refresh a language you learned long ago but don't really remember? Did you grow up with another language but want to learn it more formally? You can do all of these with Transparent Language. You can even download this to your phone or tablet to practice anywhere. Click here to learn how.

There's even a special section for kids ages 6 and up called Kidspeak. Instructions are here.

Simply click here or on the Transparent Language icon on our website.  If accessing from somewhere other than the Lodi Library, you will need your library card.  Sign up for an account using the middle tab that says "SIGN UP."  There you will create a user name and password that you will use to log on in the future. Get ready to start your language adventure!
