We've won a $5,000 Ideas to Action grant from WiLS! The money will go toward podcasting equipment and a Podcast Intern. If you are interested in applying for the position, please consider the job description and details below.
The Podcast Intern is responsible for managing the Intro to Podcast Production project, a pilot program collaboration between the Lodi Public Library and the School District of Lodi. The goal is to work with a teacher (or teachers) on a project that incorporates podcasting into the classroom or school setting.
We’ve budgeted 200 hours at $12.50 an hour for the internship, taking place in spring of 2020 with a projected start time of mid-February. How those hours are dispersed can be developed (e.g. 10 hours a week, 15 hours a week, 20 hours a week, etc) with the Director of the Lodi Public Library.
We’re looking for someone who is creative, comfortable working with teens, and has good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. An interest in technology—and podcasting, in particular—would be a plus, but it isn’t a requirement.
