See you at the market.
TEENS: Let's talk about controversy in music. It's always something: rap's lyics, Elvis' hips, and the behavior of the latest top-of-the-pops. What's a musician to do, when everybody has an opinion?
The discussion begins at 2 pm Friday, June 8 at 2 pm at the library.
TEENS: Join us at 2 pm Friday, June 15 for a discussion on the history of rock and its influence on modern sounds.
What’s so great about some old musicians, anyway?
What's cooler than guitar picks? Stuff made from guitar picks!
TEENS stop in at 2 pm Friday, June 22 to use the guitar punch to make guitar picks, then make things like keychains or jewelry out of the picks.
In the next of our "Rock the Real World" series, we'll discuss a few things you'll need to know to about dating safety.

Rock the Real World is a fun program series of “adulting” tips & tricks for teens.
We're talking about music parody this week with the TEENS. Join us for the fun beginning at 2 pm Friday, July 6 at the library.
Parody: controversial, political, or just plain funny? Let's consider all the angles.
Don't forget - 5 pm on Friday, August 3 is the deadline for any reading you want to count toward the school challenges!
Bring your time records into the library to get them recorded and official. (You're still welcome to turn in reading time to fulfill your own goals, though.)
Also, you can keep working on your August bingo card all month!
Are you a performer? Do you love to sing or dance or play an instrument or act out a show with your friends? Or does all of that sound really scary … but you’d like to make someone smile by reading aloud with them?
The Lodi Public Library is seeking local kids with talents (or just bravery) to perform for the entertainment of seniors in the area assisted living residences.
Join us for episode #1 of the Traveling Talent Show, beginning at 2 pm on Thursday, May 31 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lodi.
We’re inviting local performers to show us their best in a series of performances at the local senior living facilities. But every act needs an audience, and everyone is invited to attend to marvel at the performances and clap your hands off! Let’s show our support!
